How To Avoid Paying Extra For Roofing Repairs

This a topic that I find very close and dear to my heart.

It’s a trap that I often find people get stuck with.

When I hear people tell me that they have paid to have work done inside there house because they thought there roof was water tight only for a heavy downpour to wreck all the work got done.

So I have came up with certain steps to follow to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you or anyone that is close to you.

1. Get your roof checked first

This is unfortunately a step that people often forget to do.

I think this happens because people assume that aslong as there is no water coming inside the ceiling and leaving water marks that there isn’t anything wrong with there roof.

When the truth of the matter is that it might not be a stage yet where it will be causing noticeable damage and every time it rains you are playing with fire.

2. Get social proof that person can fix your roof

If a roof tiler isn’t happy to show you some social proof that they can actually deliver a result your after then simply don’t use them.

How can you trust that they will actually fix the issues they found in your roof in the first place?

Chances are they wont fix the issues and you willl never be able to track them down to come back and fix the issues.

3. Ask for testimonials

You want to make sure that the tradesman you have hired is a good person and not sleaze bag. Someone that is genuine and cares about the people they do jobs for.

It will also give you indication that they have good customer service and haven't done the wrong thing by the people who have hired them to do a job.

One last thing you should ask the roof tiler for is photos or a video of what there roof looks like as if they are genuine and are giving you and honest quote then they should be willing to show you and if they aren't DONT HIRE THEM as they wont do a good job and when the roof leaks you will not be able to get in contact with them to come back and fix the issue they were meant to have fixed in the first place.

After all these things have been done and there has been a downpour of rain to check that the issues in the roof have been fixed its then time to get work done inside the house as you wont have to pay a second time to get that work done.
